IMP MAXIMIANVS P F AVG Laureate, helmeted, and cuirassed bust of Galerius to left, holding spear in his right hand and shield on his left shoulder. Rev. VIRTVS AV-GG ET CAESS NN / AQP Galerius on horseback galloping right, holding spear in his right hand and shield in his left, riding down an enemy kneeling to left; below horse, a fallen enemy, pierced by a javelin, and a shield. Paolucci & Zub 107. RIC 66b. Rare. A wonderful coin with an impressive bust type and an unusually detailed and dynamic reverse. Extremely fine.
